Trial Update: Looking Ahead Towards 2023
At the close of 2022, Physicians Insurance / MedChoice has continued our successful 10-year win rate with more than 96% defense verdicts, ensuring that challenges were analyzed as lessons were learned in order to continue honing our expertise. We tried 10 cases in 2022 across California, Oregon, and Washington. And, as courts begin to reopen in a post-COVID era, we expect to see litigation activity rise across all states nationwide.

Legislative advocacy is essential to our purpose. We participate at both the national and state levels to ensure that the concerns of our Members are heard by lawmakers on issues that impact medical professional liability.
